Working together to provide essential services to communities across Western Canada, we are hiring an Operations Advisor, Centre Store (Central Zone) on a permanent basis at our office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Alternatively, the position can be based out of Regina with the understanding that travel to Saskatoon will be frequent. Who we are: As a co-operative, we do business differently. Our Food Operations team plays an important role in serving the needs of approximately 170 local co-ops and their members and customers from Vancouver Island to Eastern Manitoba. We've recently made changes to our team structure which provides an exciting opportunity to guide the future of our food business and support local co-ops and independent food customers to feed families across Western Canada. To learn more about who we are, visit . What you'll do: As an Operations Advisor, Centre Store, you will develop the skillsets and relationships to become a Trusted Advisor of Local Co-ops. You are an operations specialist, providing guidance, leadership, and knowledge of financial planning, sales and EBITDA improvement, event planning, marketing, succession planning, training, team building and future store development in partnership with Local Co-ops. You will deliver measurable, profitable and sustainable growth and will encourage full support and execution of FCL strategic initiatives and programs. Approximate annual travel is 60%.
You will achieve budgeted sales for the assigned portfolio of Local Co-ops. Collaborate with Local Co-op Senior Managers to identify sales improvement opportunities, build sales action plans identifying internal and external sales opportunities and coach Local Co-op Managers on how to execute prepared plans. Work in partnership with the Operations Team to ensure overarching action plans are congruent and align with department objectives.
You will improve EBITDA results for the assigned portfolio of Local Co-ops. Working with Local Co-op Senior Team Leaders, develop action plans and operational reviews addressing the locations EBITDA improvement opportunities. Coach Team Leaders on effective implementation and follow-up resulting in EBITDA improvement.
You will provide leadership to Local Co-ops for renovations, expansions, replacement and greenfield stores. Review image and merchandising standards, CASM selection, and store layout with Local Co-op Team Leaders, offering guidance and support towards a proper customer experience resulting in increased sales.
You will provide feedback to Home Office regarding local market conditions, competitive pricing and marketing activity, policy and program recommendations and sales promotion ideas.

You have a minimum of 6-9 years of progressively responsible experience in retail management or operations.
You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or equivalent.
You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
Ability to communicate clearly and with impact
Previous experience managing a sales territory is an asset.
