Installation Technician (Fibre Optics) Job Opening in Toronto,

Job Summary

  • Drive to various customer sites to perform installations
  • Install all associated fibre optic equipment for Residential & Commercial Customers (Internet, VoIP, IPTV)
  • Installs, tests, troubleshoots and repairs as required to Beanfield standards
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and educating customers on products and services
  • Ensures the vehicle, test equipment, and tools are maintained in good working condition
  • Collect “as builds” information in timely manner
  • Administrative duties such as updating tickets, and reports with detailed, accurate information

Job Type / Category

  • Full time, permanent role (40 hrs a week)
  • 4 days, 10 hour shifts a week OR 5 days, 8 hour shifts - rotational based on shift bids
  • Start times: 7:30am or 10:30am
  • Monday-Saturday
  • Telecommunication industry

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Maintain high standard of quality while following the employer’s safety standards and policies
  • Recognize and identify potential problems
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work shift work

  • Starting rate of $18.00 per hour
  • After six months of active work, hourly rate increases to $19.00 per hour.
  • After 12 months of active work, hourly rate increases to $20.00 per hour.

Please note this position will be based out of our Etobicoke office.

A valid Ontario Drivers License (G2 or above) is a must have for the role.

Our business services include internet, phone, private line and co-location.
