is hiring a Cannabis Concierge team to join their retail team at FARM our retail store in Vancouver, BC. is a B.C based cannabis retailer committed to sharing our passion for cannabis with our community.
The Cannabis Concierge is the first point of contact for all customers entering the store; they are more than security, they are a welcoming presence and a facilitator for compliant and successful day to day operations.
About the Responsibilities:

• Responsible for customer compliance, you provide a warm welcome to the store while ensuring that age requirements are met, compliance standards are upheld, and any incidents are appropriately cared for and documented.

• Maintaining both security and community engagement through de-escalating difficult situations with a trauma-informed approach, supporting your team members, and expanding your knowledge of the community you work in.
• Participating in the development of programming or resources to meet the needs of our staff and community within our unique environment.

• Engaging in education surrounding the related provincial and municipal regulations driving operating requirements.
• Demonstrating strong product knowledge and customized customer service
• Acting as an ambassador to the company’s values and mandate with a strong team mentality.
• Maintain the presence of the physical store environment.
• May also be required to participate in community engagement initiatives.

About You:

• You’re committed to exceptional customer service, are reliable, punctual and responsive to training.
• You have obtained your Cannabis Worker’s Qualification and have security experience or certification
• You act with integrity and exercise excellent judgement (and non-judgement too!)
• You're familiar with the cannabis industry including relevant regulations
• You have extraordinary communication and relationship building skills, are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to achieve goals
• You have basic knowledge of De-escalation practices (and, ideally, training in De-escalation)
• You have knowledge of the Downtown Eastside or experience working within marginalized communities
• You have strong record keeping skills
• You are able to work within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities

Physical Work Environment The Cannabis Concierge will regularly sit and stand throughout the day. They respond to customer and guest needs frequently. They may be required to crouch or kneel throughout the day. The working hours are predominantly during the evenings and weekends. FARM is located in the DTES.
