Maple Leaf Hatchery in Hanover has a perfect part-time opportunity for students! We are looking for reliable, team-oriented students who are interested in learning more about the food and agriculture industries.

Working as part of a team, you will be part of a work rotation to complete the cleaning and disinfecting of chick boxes, assist with inovo egg transfer process (including cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment after work is completed), sexing birds and other duties.
Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday with a majority start time of 6am. The starting wage is $16.43 which increases to $18.25 after six months of employment.

  • Washing boxes and sanitation of box room and box washer
  • Assisting with Inovo Egg transfer as required
  • Transfer sanitation
  • Determining the sex of day old chicks
  • Other sanitation duties
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be capable of lifting 3050 lbs. repetitively (overhead lifting required)
  • Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment
