Executive Assistant - Permanent Full-time - Dokis First Nation (First Nation, Metis, Inuit Recruit) Job Opening in Parry Sound

The Executive Assistant with is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Services, including developing administrative processes, filing systems, making recommendations for policy and process development.


Knowledge Requirements

  • Knowledge of programs and services
  • Respect for, sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishnawbek culture, traditions and the Seven Grandfather Teachings
  • Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs and traditions in responding to child welfare
  • Knowledge of traditional practices, ceremonies and teachings


Other Requirements

  • Must provide a clear Police Records Check
  • Must provide a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence
  • Must have $1M auto insurance liability coverage
  • Must provide an acceptable three-year uncertified Driver’s Abstract


Site Location: Dokis First Nation

Position will remain open until filled.


REQUIREMENTS
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION
  • Minimum Administrative/Executive Assistant diploma
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum three years’ experience in office administrative management
  • Experience coordinating meetings, documenting minutes, developing power point presentations, developing newsletters and reports
  • Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations and communities
