As a member of Adaptabilities’ Program Leadership Team, the Program Supervisor is accountable for leading and managing a team to meet identified key performance outcomes. The Program Supervisor is accountable for the overall delivery of programs and services in their assigned program area. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the successful execution of service delivery, supervision and performance management of team members and collaboration internally and externally. The supervisor will consistently demonstrate and incorporate AdaptAbilities’ core values in their day-to-day work and leadership, while fulfilling our core purpose of empowering families and individuals with special needs to grow, succeed and belong.
Key Functions

  • Lead the team in planning, delivering, monitoring and evaluating enhanced respite services resulting in an extraordinary degree of customer and employee satisfaction
  • Support and supervise team members while effectively utilizing financial and operational resources through compliance with organizational and departmental policies and core processes
  • Accountable for consistent achievement and results of individual and program outcomes
  • Responsible for effectively maintaining and utilizing funding according to policies, agreements and contracts
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Maintain timely, accurate and professional correspondence, records, reports, schedules, spreadsheets and documentation
  • Ensure the safety of participants, staff, volunteers and family members attending programming and facilities
  • Diploma or degree in disability studies, or other relevant discipline
  • Three years of experience in related field
  • Two years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Supervised, mentored and coached a team of at least five staff
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge regarding complex behaviors, human rights approach and community inclusion
  • Experience advocating for marginalized people
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in the Google platform (Mail and Apps) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle with clear driving abstract
  • A shared passion and vision with the organization
  • Available to perform and complete duties outside regular business hours
  • Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
  • Standard First Aid Level C & AED, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol
  • Ability to work in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions
  • Comfortable with moderate exposure to mental stress related to difficult behaviors with participants, supervisory responsibilities and requirement to meet tight timelines and program deliverables
This is a permanent full-time position that requires flexible hours.
