EPCOR Technologies is an integrated engineering, construction and maintenance firm with a rich history of delivering complex infrastructure projects for government, utility and private company clients, including developers, general contractors and industrial organizations. We specialize in lighting, power, signal and communication systems. EPCOR has one (1) permanent full-time position available! The Analyst, Project Controls, is accountable for the portfolio level analysis and monitoring of project progress including budgets, forecasts, cash flows, risks and recovery. You will be responsible for maintaining Project Control standards and processes for all Technologies projects from inception through to close out.
Reporting to the Manager, Contract Admin & Project Control, the Analyst, Project Controls, you will be accountable for, but not limited to:
Assisting the Project Management team as required, this includes:
creating resource loaded schedules in Primavera
updating program plans or changes in program scope, project constraints and resource availability
creating analysis of what-if scenarios as project and program priorities change
information gathering for project performance metrics
Working with Operations to issue short-term and long-term work plans including detailed WorkFace plans, determining resource requirements and balancing resource usage across the Program Plan to ensure optimal distribution
Assisting Business Development on project proposals (Scheduling, Resources, Reports)
Participating and contributing to operational excellence and process improvement projects.
Creating, maintaining and providing reporting measures for:
weekly manpower plans based on project needs
weekly/monthly forecasted man-hours and quantity curves
project progress and crew productivity
Establishing portfolio level analysis and monitoring of project progress including budgets, forecasts, risks and recovery
Ensuring consistent and standardized Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) are followed and reported
Applying expertise in project controls by helping create solutions to cost issues and/or assisting with project recovery plans and proactive project planning
Demonstrating a high performance, highly disciplined, achievement-oriented, safety-conscious manner of working.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Successful completion of a two-year diploma in Engineering Technology or Construction Management from a recognized Post-Secondary institute.
Minimum 5 years’ of Construction Project Management
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a planning capacity for multiple projects or portfolios, including experience using planning software.
Advanced understanding of fundamentals of resource allocation to different activities for optimal construction and maintenance operations
Knowledgeable with best practices in planning, project management and construction
Strong understanding of various decision support tools (MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera)
Familiarity with standard project management tools and methodology
Demonstrated proficiency in decision-making and analytical ability. Ability to analyze situations and data, draw conclusions and develop a plan of action to address issues
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated conflict management experience
As the successful candidate, you possess strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. You demonstrate the ability to maintain a professional manner when dealing with various stakeholders and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You have the ability to make sound decisions while continually seeking opportunities to enhance your personal effectiveness and support the success of your team.

Wage: $47.76 to $57.00 per hour
