Contribute towards business transformation activities by conducting process and cost analysis centered upon identifying ways in which to improve overall program efficiency and effectiveness through making changes in divisional structure, resourcing, business processes, account systems and customer service delivery.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Monitor and assess the potential impacts of proposed changes in legislation, policy, process, or adoption of new trends on divisional plans, initiatives, budget and resourcing by:
Performing economic modeling based on risk, organizational and trend analysis to identify, document and inform senior management on potential cost and/or staff impact of business planning projects and initiatives.
2. In liaison with WSIB change management partners, support the change management process by:
Identifying and evaluating current and future change requirements;
Conducting change impact assessments and identifying change implications of current and future business initiatives on people, process and technology and recommending strategies to mitigate impact;
Ensuring change projects are effectively planned, managed and executed to ensure positive adoption of new processes and/or systems by staff and clients.
3. Utilize the outputs of detailed analysis and research in order to weigh impacts to the organization and make decisions and/or recommendations on changes to business model, processes, organizational practice, budget and resourcing, including:
Use of primary and secondary research in the form of surveys, focus groups, literature reviews and benchmarking with external organizations;
Strategic process design activities focused on changing existing business processes, systems and procedures and making recommendations to support alignment and the successful implementation of new business initiatives;
Identification, development and implementation/reporting of divisional metrics and measurements.

4. Support the business planning process by conducting research, gathering information and making recommendations that will inform planning decisions regarding initiatives, timelines, and resourcing across the division by:
Monitoring on-going and planned business initiatives to ensure that they are in line with WSIB strategic goals, identify progress towards achieving various initiatives, identify any gaps in progress, provide recommendations and implement solutions to aid in closing the gaps.
5. Coordinate business project delivery by:
Utilizing project management methodologies to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and that they also adhere to high quality standards;
Identifying project bottlenecks and providing recommendations on how they may be dealt with so as to meet business and client service needs.
Working collaboratively with business partners to identify improvement opportunities and gaps and to develop solutions to address identified issues.
