Office Administrator Job Openings in North Bay,

Harmony Haven Housing Co-operative Inc., a 35 unit non-profit housing community, is seeking to fill a part-time (approximately 22 hours weekly, some evenings required) office administrator position.

The successful applicant should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in the non-profit housing sector
  • Understanding of the co-operative corporation act and legislation, and issues related to co-op housing
  • Demonstrates ability to interact impartially with diverse membership and the public
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in financial management, operating budgets
  • Excellent computer skills

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Managing office; collecting monies, filing, and record procedures
  • Managing co-op finances
  • Managing and co-ordinating all of the co-ops repairs and contractors
  • Supports and follows by-laws of co-op
  • Supports and follows governance of Board of Directors
  • Current and satisfactory police record check (at own expense)
  • Valid driver’s license an asset

The successful applicant needs to be highly motivated, able to work effectively with volunteers and have computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and New Views.
