Summary Manitoba Harvest has an opportunity for energetic and experienced QUALITY CONTROL COORDINATOR to join our Quality team. This position can be based out of our Ste Agathe Hemp Oil Canada facilityan easy 15-minute drive south of the perimeter on Highway 75. Roles and responsibilities

• Acts and provides guidance on product sampling and sample submission requirements to Quality, Product Development, Farm Ops, Supply Chain, and Third Party Co-manufacturers
• Coordinates sample QC testing and turnaround time through internal and external laboratories
• Maintains relationships with internal and external laboratories to ensure strong communication, clear direction, reliable and timely results
• Translates internal and external laboratory results into a central lab database, generating Certificates of Analysis
• Creates accurate and precise product disposition decisions in comparing results to specifications.
• Performs analytical work for Quality and Innovation projects as requested
• Reviews and provides suggested updates to testing plans based on new products, trends, and quality, regulatory, and food safety risks
• Other duties as assigned by the organization
• Report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Food Science or a related program
• 2 years previous experience in a related role, laboratory, or food processing environment
• Quality Assurance experience in a food processing
• Authoritative knowledge of SOPs, GLPs, HACCP and GMPs applicable to quality, compliance, and production
• Excellent communications skills with ability to effectively communicate with broad audience, internal and external
• Strong comprehension of English language speak, read, and write
• Organized and detailed orientated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work the occasional evening and/or weekend
• Ability to travel to our Winnipeg facility if required
