The Centre for Evidence Based Orthopaedics (CEO) requires a Research Coordinator I to support the research initiatives of a large orthopaedic research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities associated with multi-centre clinical trials in the orthopaedic oncology research unit within the CEO. Responsibilities will include liaising with participating clinical sites and study participants, monitoring and maintaining data quality, managing outcomes adjudication, and coordinating with study committees, granting agencies, and stakeholders. The Research Coordinator will be also be responsible for ensuring that all clinical research activities are conducted in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP guidelines, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Job Summary: The Research Coordinator (I) is responsible for implementing, monitoring, refining, analyzing, coordinating, and reporting on several research projects. Acts as a resource for the development of protocols, study documents, operations of study management, and management techniques.

Proficiency with the following software is an asset: Microsoft Office, REDCap and DataFax electronic data capture systems, Framemaker, SurveyMonkey and statistical software.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in coordinating large multi-centre randomized trials, specifically surgical trials, as well as previous experience working with patients and researchers in a hospital clinic setting. The ideal candidate will also have previous qualitative research experience, specifically pertaining to patient engagement. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator with excellent time management skills and a high degree of attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate study meetings and calls outside of normal work hours.
