Johnny's Fresh Meats & Deli is looking for a Retail Butcher’s Helper/Apprentice to join our team. If you have a interest in butchery, meat cutting, sausage making, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Main Job Duties include:

· Cutting various meats, making jerky/deli meats and dog food, marinating & value added, and helping with fresh & smoked sausage production

· Weigh, label and package cuts of meat for customer purchase

· Learn how to operate meat slicer, grinder, band saw and/or knives to prepare standard cuts of meat

· Assist with receiving & unloading shipments

· Maintain general cleanness and sanitation: Including saw, grinder ,table, shelves, sink, counter cutting boards etc.

The Ideal Candidate

· Has a desire and willingness to learn new skills of the meat trade

· Reliable & punctual

· Communicate well with others and committed to provide excellent customer service

· Is self motivated, with high energy and enthusiasm

· Has the ability to work in a fast paced environment
