The Department of Justice and Office of the Attorney General is seeking an individual to join Family Crown Services as an Administrative Assistant in Miramichi.
As a member of Family Crown Services, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide administrative support and reception services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reception; responding to inquiries; managing all aspects of the in-house file management system including filing, data-entry and generating reports; providing files for disclosure and tracking of same; preparing legal documents and submissions for all levels of court as required; maintaining office equipment; as well as other related duties as may be assigned. Work will involve face to face and telephone communication with lawyers, social workers, witnesses, respondent parents and government agencies, and other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a one (1) year related post-secondary education and a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience, some of which must be in a legal setting with some experience working in a legal environment with respect to the Child and Adult Protection litigation and document preparation related thereto OR a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) years related work experience, some of which must be in a legal setting with some experience working in a legal environment with respect to the Child and Adult Protection litigation and document preparation related thereto. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is also required. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY: from $ 22.66 to $27.54 hourly, depending on education and experience.
