Warehouse Associate Job Opening in Charlottetown

Island Abbey Food Sciences Ltd. is an award-winning specialty food and natural health products manufacturer located in Charlottetown, PEI. Our team is growing, and we want to hear from you if you are an experienced Production Worker in a food manufacturing environment.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials. Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in the warehouse.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments based on SOPs

• Complete necessary paperwork and data entry thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner

• Inspect products for damages; report as needed

• Unload and place products appropriately

• Tag and label materials

• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment

• Cleaning and sanitation duties

• Other tasks as assigned

• Assemble goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions

Requirements

• High school graduation or GED required

• Ability to understand and follow all safety and operating procedures in food production

• Knowledge of basic math as well as English reading and writing skills

• Ability to work shift work in a 24/7 production environment

• Previous warehouse / receiving experience

• Experience with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks

• Valid forklift certification

• Ability to lift 40lbs

• Working knowledge of warehouse data systems

Must have proof of eligibility to work in Canada

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand, or walk for an extended period
• Stoop, reach, kneel or crouch
• Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs
