Director of TSXT PPP Sales Job Opening in Toronto

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Sales, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with new clients and cross selling to existing clients. You will build strong relationships with clients and sources of referrals.
As an accomplished B2B sales professional, you have a demonstrated track record of success in a hunting role, managing the entire sales cycle across the buyer’s journey. You possess strong discipline in managing your pipeline and leading key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet growth and revenue targets assigned.
The services that you will be selling are: trustee, custodial, transfer agency, corporate actions, private capital, and other related services.

Our TSX Trust team is looking for a dynamic, sales focused and process driven individual to lead a new initiative. This role will entail building the Private Placement Portal (PPP) business for TSX Trust through identifying and executing upon sales opportunities. This will require you to build external and internal relationships and that support capital raising transactions on the PPP. Initial focus for the selected candidate will be on the exempt market, private company capital raises and LPs. Once launched, with a successful track record, the role may expand into enterprise sales opportunities and marketing to listed issuers. The selected candidate will be responsible for the successful onboarding and servicing of new clients. If your experience proves that you are able to work with Relationship Management, Business Development, operations and technology teams to create and execute overall sales and business development strategy, then this could be the right job for you.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Effectively define, execute and manage the sales process, leading client coverage and managing relationships with related prospects and clients.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and engaging relations with new prospects, business partners, and existing clients – including wealth managers, private corporations and supporting advisor partners
  • Coordinate and work with other TMX and Platform provider (technology) team members to ensure efficient, consistent and effective client coverage; referral to the appropriate team if opportunities are qualified
  • Build the qualified business pipeline, drive business to the platform and onboard the business successfully.
  • Prepare and host in person and digital education sessions and work with marketing to develop supporting collaterals and marketing materials and attend conferences
  • Manage a budget and reporting for PPP

Travel Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 days per month or more depending on business requirements

Must have skills:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with the full sales cycle experience in the private markets spaceidentifying opportunities through to closing deals.
  • The ideal candidate is an independent, self-starter with experience in managing multi-product relationships with clients through coordination across a sales organization
  • A strong network including EMDs, wealth managers, investment banks, legal advisors, accounting firms, corporate relationships and other related service partners
  • Proven ability to identify business opportunities and potential clients, and to work with clients in order to maintain and develop relationships
  • Experience with Google Suite, Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office
