Front End Supervisor - Key Holder Job Openings in Vaughan

Position summary:

Under the supervision of the Group Sales Manager (GSM) provides daily direction to the Outfitters in one of the departments within the store, to include: merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, stocking and customer service activities. Performs Manager on Duty shifts.

Position responsibilities:

  • 1) Supports in achievement of departmental sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage and payroll goals.
  • 2) Provide daily direction to the associates within the department.
  • 3) Prepare to-do / task lists.
  • 4) Execute all merchandising directives and assists with coordination of “Special Events”.; i.e. “Flyer Execution, Top 25 list”, “Extreme Savings” items, etc. & maintain all plan-o-grams as set by the Corporate Office.
  • 5) Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • 6) Assist in staffing the department with “service” oriented Outfitters by participating in interviewing and making recommendations for selection. Coordinates and delivers training. Consults with GSM and gives input on preparation of performance appraisals. Prepares weekly work schedules, coaches and motivates Outfitters to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment.
  • 7) Resolves customer and Outfitter opportunities in partnership with the GSM and/or Human Resources.
  • 8) Maintenance of pricing, UPC integrity and helps determine assortments and accuracy of inventory. Proper display, signing and pricing of all advertised items.
  • 9) Assists with carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. This includes addressing complaints, resolving problems and maintaining a positive and respectful work environment for all Outfitters, free of harassment or discrimination.
  • 10) Has “Manager on Duty” responsibilities; including, but not limited to; opening and closing the store, responding to alarm calls, reacting to sick calls, ensuring outfitter engagement with customers, assigning tasks as needed, communicating any performance issues to Management. Solving any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • 11) Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Education and/or Experience

2-4 years in Retail Sales / supervisory experience is a plus

Mathematical Skills / Reasoning Ability

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions and percentages.

Communication Skills

Ability to read and analyze certain reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, Outfitters, customers and the general public. Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the corporate Outfitters.

Demonstrated use of Team concept of Management.

Other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
