Program Facilitator Job Opening in Barrie,

We are currently recruiting for 1 part-time contract PROGRAM FACILITATOR. Using a family centered, collaborative approach to service delivery, this role will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Agency's EarlyON Child and Family Centres, both main and satellite sites, located in Barrie, Innisfil and surrounding areas. Please note that location is subject to change based on program needs. This position includes providing play and inquiry based learning opportunities for children ages 0-6, parent education and resources including information and referrals. This position will work four 3.75 hour shifts up to a total of 15 hours per week at an hourly rate of pay of $23.62 from January 1st, 2020 December 31st, 2020.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Community college diploma or degree in E.C.E.;
  • Current registration, in good standing, with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
  • Recent relevant experience working with children and families;
  • Knowledge of community resources for parents and children;
  • Knowledge of the How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills;
  • Current First Aid/C.P.R. and NVCI Certificates are an asset;
  • Knowledge of French language is an asset;
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation is required;

Duties and responsibilities: including, but not limited to

  • Planning and implementing programs that will foster children's cognitive, social and emotional development and include parents/caregivers in the delivery;
  • Setting up inquiry based learning environments
  • Facilitation of EarlyON programs and services both at main and satellite sites
  • Promote a positive interaction between parents/caregivers and children;
  • Making recommendations in the method of program delivery;
  • Participate in community events as appropriate;
  • Facilitation of Parent/Caregiver training
  • Engaging parents in conversations about their child's development and making referrals as appropriate
  • Understanding and implementing all policies and procedures of the Agency and legislative requirements;

Schedule 15 hours/week Tuesday: 9:00am-12:45pm Wednesday: 9:00am-12:45pm Thursday: 9:00am-12:45pm Saturday: 8:30am-12:15pm
