Job description:

Part Time Wedding Décor Sales Specialist for a small but growing event studio in Brampton. The ideal candidate is client-focused, and has experience in the wedding & events industry; a true polished professional who’s passionate about each and every client’s event and meeting targets.

This position has growing potential both in hours and responsibility. The event industry is a fun and rewarding field but often comes with long hours, evenings and weekends, and fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environments. We are looking for a long-term, dedicated, outgoing, creative, and passionate employee who will go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.

‪Duties include:

  • ‪Prospect and identify new business via phone, email, networking
  • Proactively monitor network to identify potential clients and opportunities
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with clients with a key understanding of the client’s needs
  • Call clients to persuade them to come into showroom for décor consultations
  • Work and communicate effectively with the operational team
  • Develop marketing strategic plans to develop business
  • Set up & attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes
  • Learn how to set up décor as an events crew member for effective selling of our product
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
  • Oversee all communications between the sales team and operations
  • Cold Calling
  • Accountable for booking and increasing Corporate/Wedding/Social Event Décor business, through the development of new business (sales) and active follow up of existing inquiries
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Solicit from and confirm with clients, all information pertaining to the event and organize information for accurate turnover once the account goes definite
  • Collect market and competitive intelligence and adjust sales strategy as required

· Answering phone and email inquiries

· ‪Closing sales to generate event bookings

· Working as part of a team to establish outlined revenue goals

· ‪Maintaining quality and frequent communication to clients

· ‪Planning of corporate events & customer events alongside Events Specialist

· ‪Daily and weekly reporting

· Ensuring all clients are attended to in a timely and professional manner

· Ensuring overall client happiness and satisfaction

· Working as Office Support staff as required

· Cross- training in other departments

‪Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • 1-2 years of sales experience selling to a variety of market segments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must have strong business development and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills, able to work in a constantly fast-paced environment and demonstrated work flexibility

· ‪Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent command of the English language

· ‪Knowledge and familiarity with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc).

· ‪Outgoing, personable, friendly, confident

· ‪High level of customer service skills and experience working directly with clients

· ‪Professional and friendly phone etiquette

· ‪Detail oriented and organized

· ‪Proactive, self-motivated, sense of urgency

· ‪Ability to work independently

· ‪Ability to multitask in high-stress environments

· ‪Quick prioritization under pressure

· Must be available to work weekends
