Your responsibilities and tasks:

Regional responsibility of complete Frozen Food project portfolio in North and Latin America. S/he has the overall responsibility to ensure BU projects are completed according to the budget, schedule, scope and specifications together with meeting customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with BU QHSE Procedures.

Position holder reports to the Head of Frozen Food – NAM / LAM Region. By that S/he is embedded into the management team of the BU Frozen Food.

Tasks:

  • Responsible for the NAM/LAM Frozen Food project portfolio with a revenue of up to 50 M€.
  • Provide Governance, steering and coordination for the Frozen Food project management, project engineering, installation specialists and commissioning engineers,
  • Responsibility to ensure the project managers deliver the projects according to budget, schedule, scope and specifications together with meeting customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with BU QSHE Procedures.
  • Oversee the entering, forecasting and maintaining of the project portfolio budgets by completing monthly project review meetings with staff with support from finance according to GEA Project Controlling guidelines with a focus on Revenue and Margin.
  • Oversee project portfolio schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and project stakeholders, handles customer complaints regarding project performance and is involved in negotiation settlement of claims with legal contract owner.
  • Ensure that the project managers, project engineers, installation specialists and commissioning engineers are following company established procedures including GEA Project Management guidelines and Product Engineering Standards maintained by the BU including documents related to areas of responsibility in QMS system.
  • Ensure that the installation specialists and commissioning engineers are following company established QHSE Procedures maintained by the BU.
  • Drive Project Phase Gate reviews to ensure participation of internal stakeholders (Engineering Standardization, Automation, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales Steering) with activities concerned with project execution, lessons learned, technical developments, standardization, quality or design issues recognized during either freezer installation or commissioning and resolving engineering design and test problems for current and future projects.
  • Support application engineering during pre-sale including input and review of project management, project engineering, installation and commissioning hours.
  • Oversee the QMS maintenance of installation specifications, procedures and checklists for installation and commissioning of Frozen Food project portfolio.
  • Maintain the staffing levels to support the regional project order intake budget / sales pipeline forecast while assuring appropriate utilization. This includes focus on staff development, retention and succession planning.
Your profile and qualifications:
  • University degree in EngineeringMechanical Preferred;
  • Broad work experience within management of project execution (5 + years);
  • Deep practical know-how of project management methods and tools;
  • Strong negotiation and Conflict Management Skills;
  • Organized and ability to set priorities;
  • Strong leadership and change competences.
