Overview: Canada has an opening for an Account Specialist in Toronto, supporting the internal team managing partnerships with national retail accounts. This role is cross-functional; the Account Specialist will be exposed to as sales, account management, marketing, merchandising and operations, in the brick and mortar and digital retail space.

Responsiblities:

What you’ll do

  • Support the day-to-day management of an account portfolio consisting of local, regional or national accounts
  • Assist the account team with general account services, marketing programs, merchandising programs, reporting, problem solving and administrative duties.
  • Develop, manage and present reports requiring data analysis to provide key business insights
  • Collaborate with account managers and senior executives on special projects and programs
  • Facilitate card inventory management and card inventory production processes
  • Present opportunities and secure approval for expanded distribution throughout the
  • Work with accounts to develop new products as applicable
  • Follow-through on all account requests in a timely and strategic manner
  • Handle billing, inventory issues, and provide desired resolutions
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Communication, Sales/Marketing preferred or equivalent work experience in relevant field
  • Minimum 1+ years in sales, account management, or client services; a recent college graduate preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a business context
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven ability to balance simultaneous projects in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally
  • Aptitude to perform job functions in a team environment, with little direct supervision
