Reporting to the Manager, Change Management, the incumbent is responsible for assisting Human Resources in attaining its strategic and tactical goals. This is accomplished through a focus on data quality and reporting functionality. The incumbent also collaborates with various stakeholders to support the achievement of corporate priorities and plans which include monitoring contingent workforce usage and workload trends, providing analytical support for Collective Bargaining activities and associated labour data, and recommending business process improvements.

The incumbent audits the HRIS to ensure accuracy and integrity of all employee data. The production of comprehensive workforce reports and statistics for College Management facilitates good decision making and drives the achievement of key business results including strategic workforce planning.

This involves the maintenance, implementation and development of the College integrated HRIS system to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, gathering and disseminating complex data to develop and produce a variety of both internal and external reports and metrics related to the College workforce. This also involves the management of HR dashboards to provide relevant and strategic data to various stakeholders.

The incumbent works effectively to gather and define internal client requirements and build end user reports. The incumbent also provides guidance and direction to College Managers on workload issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three (3) year Business Administration diploma, preferably with a focus on data management/data science, Human Resources or a related field of study.
  • Seven years of relevant experience with integrated HRIS systems, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with Workday system considered an asset.
  • Experience gathering and articulating Human Resources business requirements and submitting change requests for HRIS system improvements considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, macros).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data to assist with leadership’s decision-making.
  • Ability to create custom reports based on the client requirements.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret employment-related legislation i.e. Collective Agreement, Employment Standards Act, College Directives, Terms and Conditions of Employment.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability handling highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Able to work well independently and under pressure.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Team player, dynamic and ‘can-do’ attitude.
