Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC (FFSBC) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Kootenay Trout Hatchery in Fort Steele, BC. Reporting the Hatchery Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the management of the physical plant operations, maintenance and regulatory requirements of the hatchery.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with secondary school graduation and Trades Qualification in related field such as power engineer, electrician, or a B level gas ticket and completion of a recognized wastewater treatment and water systems operations course.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in fish hatchery operations and maintenance or similar industrial experience, in addition to a minimum of 3 years' experience in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health regulations and Environmental Stewardship regulations. Experience developing and managing contracts. Equivalent combinations of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
Some travel, stand-by and work outside of normal hours of operation is required. Please note that living on site is a requirement, and housing is provided at nominal cost. During stand-by periods the incumbent must remain on site at the hatchery. Lesser qualified applicants may be under-implemented.
